Today we are chatting with Spencer Jakab! Spencer is an award-winning journalist who has written for the Financial Times, Dow Jones, and The Wall Street Journal, where he is currently the editor of the Heard on the Street column. He has a new book coming out on the GameStop/Meme Stock events of 2021 called The Revolution That Wasn't: GameStop, Reddit, and the Fleecing of Small Investors.

In today’s episode we talk with Spencer about his new book and the early days of the GameStop saga. We’ll also hear Spencer’s personal thoughts about funding your index funds and portfolios, and what he thinks about crypto investing.

Today on Dough Roller, we are talking with Robert Leonard! Robert is an expert investor, entrepreneur, and podcast host! He attended University of Massachusetts where he graduated Cum Laude with a BSBA degree in Finance and Economics along with a MBA degree in Accounting and Finance. Robert then became a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) where he practiced as a financial analyst and corporate finance manager. He is an accounting and finance professional with an immense passion for stock and real estate investing, business, and entrepreneurship, which allowed him to quit his W2 position and begin his own real estate investment business. 

He is currently the host of two podcasts, Millennial Investing and Real Estate 101 which are under The Investor’s Podcast group where he has recently became VP of growth and innovation. Robert is also a founder and managing partner of Piranha Capital, a boutique real estate investment firm. 

In this episode, we talk about Robert’s journey to finance and motocross beginnings. We’ll learn about Robert’s story of his first real estate investment, and how it hooked him into house hacking. Today on Dough Roller, we are talking with George Kamel! George is a Ramsey Personality and Personal Finance Expert, host of The Fine Print podcast and cohost of the EntreLeadership podcast. He has previously hosted The Ramsey Show video channel, Ramsey live events, Borrowed Future podcast, and Foundations in Personal Finance High School Curriculum. He has been a staple of the Ramsey team personalities, and has been working on their team since 2013.

 George is a huge proponent of helping people make the most of their money, to make the most of their life through all sorts of different channels. Recently, he spearheaded the release of Ramsey Solutions first documentary, Borrowed Future: How Student Loans Are Killing the American Dream. The documentary is based off the eight episode podcast he hosted back in 2019 and he is a producer on the film.
